When does Codex reset?

Three different things often share the same name. Knowing which one you’re seeing makes the wait a little less confusing.

A regular reset. A surprise reset. A credit.

A scheduled allowance reset follows your account’s usage rules. Your usage screen is the best place to find the time that applies to you. A weekly window and a shorter session window can reset separately.

A surprise reset is an extra refresh announced by the provider. It can apply to a whole service, particular plans, or another eligible group. An announcement does not prove that every account has already received it.

A banked reset credit is a reset you may need to redeem. Read the provider’s eligibility and expiry conditions. Receiving a credit does not necessarily mean your allowance has already refreshed.

Can you predict the next Codex reset?

NextReset now publishes an experimental reset prediction using historical waiting times, Tibo’s public reset signals and relevant service recoveries. The homepage shows 24, 48 and 72-hour probabilities, source checks and the difference between a promise and a completed reset. Product launches and promotional decisions can change the pattern, and the signal weights have not been statistically calibrated.

What about Claude?

Claude’s Pro guidance describes session limits that reset every five hours, and possible additional limits including weekly limits. Usage varies with the work you do. Use the official usage indicator for your own reset time; a scheduled refresh is different from a temporary promotion.

How are the reset statistics calculated?

The 70 selected records produce 69 consecutive gaps. Average 6.0 days; longest 67.7 days. Combined announcements count once. Banked-only credits are excluded from the automatic-reset forecast.

The calendar shows 26 weeks ending in the current Pacific week. An empty cell means no entry in this archive, not proof that no reset occurred. A historical gap is not the wait until your next reset. The separate forecast model excludes banked-only entries and uses its own documented calculation.

When does my Codex weekly limit reset?

Check the reset timestamp in your own Usage settings. Your scheduled usage refresh is separate from an extra public reset, a banked reset, or a purchased instant reset. NextReset cannot read your account or calculate its private balance.

Did Codex reset today, and did I receive it?

Check the current source-linked reset watch and the original announcement for the date, eligible accounts and affected limits. A public completed record does not prove delivery to your account. Confirm your own Usage settings; an empty archive day does not prove no reset occurred.

Is a banked reset applied automatically?

No. Receiving a banked reset saves a one-time reset for later redemption before expiry. An automatic promotional reset applies directly to selected accounts and limits. A purchased instant reset is a separate paid offer. Follow the current terms and options shown in your account.

Why am I still blocked after my weekly allowance refreshed?

A shorter usage window may still be exhausted even when the weekly allowance is available. Check every displayed allowance, account and workspace. If the relevant reset time has passed and access still fails, check official service status and contact official Support with the error and timestamp.

Does a global Codex reset cover everyone and every model?

No. OpenAI says an automatic reset applies to the accounts and usage limits selected for the offer. The word global does not mean every account or every usage limit. Read the original scope instead of assuming eligibility from a social reply.

Can NextReset guarantee the next extra reset time?

No. Free promotional resets have no guaranteed availability or schedule. NextReset publishes experimental 24-, 48- and 72-hour estimates with assumptions and source checks. Those estimates do not replace your personal reset timestamp or confirm a rollout.
